There is a place in the world, in a tiny corner of the globe,
Down the dark and dirty cracks, a microcosm,
where exquisite beauty and decadence unchecked thrives,
good intentions fall flat before the knees of the beautiful ones,
victims to their own narcissism, only to happy to accept,
the sting of melancholy reigns,
in an unfulfilled expectation of that light,
and the young and hopeful wait to have their souls extinguished.
He had seen it before, and could separate from it's cycle,
for he was already soulless,
but it will always hold a special place in his heart.
